Keith Robinson joined Gray-Bowen-Scott following a 36-year career with the California Department of Transportation as Statewide Deputy Division Chief for Design and Principal Landscape Architect. His work with Departmental management, staff and allied stakeholders to develop and improve program policy and guidance helped meet State and Departmental strategic and performance goals. Additionally, his efforts resulted in the development and implementation of innovative policies to enhance public welfare, livability, safety, cost effectiveness and efficiency of roadside design activities to ensure that Caltrans was a leader in project delivery and transportation design for all modes. During his time with Caltrans he demonstrated a commitment to quality, innovation and efficiency in transportation design and planning. Keith's understanding of Caltrans standards, policies and procedures as well as its sustainability and livability goals provide great value to our Clients who are seeking to construct improvements along the State Highway System. For project delivery assistance, his understanding of the project development process allows him to focus on implementing effective solutions to efficiently deliver projects. His knowledge of current policies, standards, practices, positive outlook and ability to collaborate with a diverse project team is demonstrated by his long-standing record of accomplishment.

A Registered Landscape Architect in California, Keith holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic State University – San Luis Obispo and he completed advanced management and leadership programs at Caltrans.

Keith is a member of the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials Technical Committee on Environmental Design, the Chair of the Transportation Research Board Committee on Landscape and the Environment, and a participant in numerous National Academy of Sciences - National Cooperative Highway Research Program panels.
