No matter how ambitious, all transportation initiatives start off as an idea. Whether widening a state highway, relocating an on-ramp, creating a toll road, or initiating and operating transit systems, you will need to navigate this idea through a complex series of political, policy, funding, and design challenges. With decades of public and private sector engineering, administration and land development expertise, the principals at Gray-Bowen-Scott have helped public and private sector clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California transform transportation ideas into reality.

From navigating the Fourth Bore of the Caldecott Tunnel from conception through opening, to managing the Emery-Go-Round last mile free transit service, Gray-Bowen-Scott has worked to deliver critical, marquee transportation projects and programs for three decades. We helped Caltrans bring the current I-680/SR 24 Interchange into existence. We have helped congestion management agencies implement the Bay Area’s first Express Lanes. We have helped cities fund and complete their bicycle and pedestrian facilities. We are working with private clients, such as Apple, to complete needed road improvements for their new campus. And we helped Contra Costa County pass and manage its half-cent sales tax measure – twice! Regardless of the scope or magnitude of the project or program, we have demonstrated the ability to assist our clients and to resolve critical delivery issues in a timely fashion to get their important programs and projects DELIVERED.

We are proud to be a certified State of California Micro Business Enterprise, and even though we are a small company, Gray-Bowen-Scott covers the full breadth of program and project delivery services, including:
