The Scholarship Back Story

The tragic events of 2020 brought international attention to the systemic inequities and injustices suffered by people of color in our country. In response to these events, Gray-Bowen-Scott formed a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee, with the intention of moving our organization toward being more diverse, inclusive, and equity-centered. Additionally, one of Gray-Bowen-Scott’s core values is to be Champions of Growth, both for the development of our staff as well as for our community. With these philosophies in mind, the idea of a scholarship was born.

Through our partnership with the California Transportation Foundation, the Gray-Bowen-Scott East Bay Transportation Endowed Scholarship has become a reality. We recognize that the continued success and growth of our firm is dependent on adopting initiatives that enhance our community and our workforce. To accomplish this goal, we will award educational scholarships to talented students who share our passion for transportation.

With the added generosity of our employees and supporters, we will be able to continue expanding the opportunities we provide.
